BIOGRAPHY

 

Catherine graduated in July 2017 from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School with a BA Hons degree in Costume for Theatre, Television and Film. During her three years at BOVTS, she developed a number of skills including costume cutting and construction, basic men’s tailoring, leather work, millinery, corsetry, make-up, hair and wig dressing, body padding, stretch wear and tutu construction. She worked on a number of the school productions as a costume supervisor, assistant, dresser, maker and as an on-set film standby.

 

Catherine has worked on a number of professional theatre productions including costume supervising a range of shows at the Wardrobe Theatre, ‘Callisto’ at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Arcola Theatre in London, 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' at the Wyvern Theatre, 'The Sloe Pickers'The Arrivals' for Theatre Royal Bath and many others.

She has been wardrobe mistress for several pantomimes and has worked on the West End theatre production of ‘Wicked’, assisting fittings and sewing in the work room on the cast changes for four summers. She also helped prep the costumes for the UK Tour of 'Wicked'.

Catherine has also been on a range of UK Tours including, the musical 'An Officer and A Gentleman' as part of the wardrobe team and three UK Tours with the English Touring Opera as Head of Wardrobe.

 

She has also worked on professional Film and TV productions, including a short film 'Angels in the Asylum‘ directed by Rob Sorrenti, Random Acts Film’ for Channel 4, ‘The Laura Marlin Mysteries’, two music videos working alongside director Simon Hutchins, ‘Mum’s List’ for Studio Soho Films and others.
